What are early and advance registration deadlines?

The early rate ended on December 16. You can now register online or onsite at the regular rate.

How do I cancel my registration and receive a refund? 

All cancellations, substitutions, and requests for refunds must be done in writing and e-mailed to, or faxed to 905-479-9297 on or before March 15, 2017. Substitutions are welcome. 

A $75 administrative fee will be applied to all cancellations received before March 15, 2017. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after 5:00pm Eastern Time, March 15, 2017. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows. This policy also applies to the National Education Seminars.

How many Continuing Professional Education (CPE) or Continuous Learning Point (CLP) credits will I receive from this event?

Individuals that attend both days of the event will receive 12 CPE/CLP credits. Please note that individuals may receive less (those who register for only one day of the event) or more hours (those attending the National Education Seminar) depending on what they register for.

When will I receive my certificate of attendance?

SubCon 2017 attendees will receive an e-mail with their certificate of attendance within 7–14 business days after the event. The email will be sent to the email address listed on their registration.

How do I become a SubCon speaker?

The Call for Presentations is now closed. If you are interested in presenting at SubCon 2018, the Call for Presentations will open in August 2017. To subscribe to our inquiry list, please email

How do I register?

SubCon 2017 speakers receive a complimentary registration (up to a maximum of two presenters per session). Please register using the complimentary registration form provided in the SubCon Speaker Kit. If you did not receive the Speaker Kit, please contact us at for further assistance. 

All speakers must be registered by March 10, 2017.

Can I bring a co-presenter?

Each session can have a maximum of two presenters, with one main presenter and two co-presenters. Each of those three will receive complimentary registrations. All presenters must have a name badge and be registered in order to gain entry to the meeting room. Co-presenters should be reported to by December 8, 2016. 

Does NCMA cover any of my expenses?

No. NCMA does not cover costs for travel, lodging, personal expenses, or special events. Also, NCMA does not provide honoraria for session presentations.

Where should I go on the day of my presentation?

All speakers should go directly to the Speaker Ready Room to check in and pick up their name badges. The Speaker Ready Room will be located in Luray Ballroom D. All speakers will receive a final confirmation email with a reminder of the Speaker Ready Room location and hours the week of March 20.

Will there be internet in my presentation room?

Internet access is not provided in the workshop rooms. However, if internet is critical to your workshop presentation, please email your request to, and an assessment will be made on a case by case basis. If there is a critical piece of your presentation that requires internet access, NCMA recommends downloading it to your computer beforehand to avoid any onsite issues. Additionally, there will be complimentary internet in the Speaker Ready Room.

Will there be a live stream offered?

No. For those who are unable to physically attend SubCon, there will be no live stream available.

Hotel FAQ

Are there any special hotel rates available?

Yes. NCMA’s group rate is $199 single/double per night.

All room rates are subject to applicable tax. These rates will only be available until March 7, 2017 or until they sell out. Make your reservations early!

How do I book a room?

What is the deadline to book a room?

The deadline to book a room is Tuesday, March 7, but it is important to note that rooms could sell out beforehand.

Do I have to be registered for the event before I can book my room?

No. Hotel rooms can be booked prior to registering for the event.

Why is a government per diem rate not available?

NCMA continuously works to bring our attendees the best rates, this year our negotiated hotel rate of $199 is less expensive than the government per diem rate in March.
