Leadership

As an individual membership-based professional society, NCMA is led by volunteer members who are elected officers.  Our leaders participate at both the national and chapter levels to direct the activities of the association and lead the field of contract management into the future.

Board of Directors

As the primary governing body of the association, NCMA’s Board directs and oversees association activities and plans for the future. Our Board consists of up to 23 directors, including 3 officers, the Executive Director, the General Counsel, 12 directors elected by the general membership, and 6 directors elected by the Board of Directors.

Board of Advisors

Approximately 80 individuals are appointed to this senior executive counsel and provide guidance on issues of importance to the profession.  The Board of Advisors consists of a cross section of the contract management profession, including the public sector (federal, state and local government), the private sector (industry and professional firms), accredited educational institutions and/or other recognized training establishments, and select individuals retired from such organizations.

Council of Fellows

A prestigious group of NCMA members who have made significant contributions to the field of contracting/acquisition and to NCMA, the Council of Fellows is primarily responsible for developing the future leaders for the organization.  The Fellow designation is the third highest national award given by NCMA.

Chapters

At the local level, NCMA has approximately 100 individual chapters run by volunteer leaders.  Each chapter has a president, treasurer, and secretary, and many have other elected officers.
