GW's new Master of Science in Government Contracts (MSGC) program is unique in the world—blending the study of government procurement law and policy taught by the Law School with a core business curriculum taught by the School of Business. The program is designed to give working professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the world of federal acquisition, and is intended for professionals from a variety of acquisition-related jobs in both government and private industry.

Built upon the Law School's world-renowned Government Procurement Law program, with more than fifty years of educating successful government procurement lawyers and professionals, this unique program blends the study of government procurement law with a grounding in sound business principles. The innovative curriculum balances practice and theory, developing the skills that acquisition professionals need to become effective professionals, managers, and leaders.

The 36 credit hour curriculum can be completed in as little as 18 months, and you can get started in Fall (late August), Spring (January) or Summer (June) semesters.

The program is led by prominent NCMA members:

  • Daniel Gordon, Associate Dean for Government Procurement Law, former OFPP Administrator, and member of the NCMA Board of Advisors
  • Neal Couture, CPCM, Director of Government Procurement Law and Business Programs, former NCMA Executive Director, and member of the NCMA Board of Advisors
  • Steven Schooner, CPCM, Fellow, Nash & Cibinic Professor of Government Procurement Law and Co-Director of the Government Procurement Law Program, and member of the NCMA Board of Advisors
  • Christopher Yukins, Professor of Government Contracts Law and Co-Director of the Government Procurement Law Program, and Past President of Tysons Corner Chapter
