NCMA Photo Submission Guidelines for Publications
Note: The best format to submit photos (color or black-and-white) is mailed directly to our editorial office in hard copy form. Please remember that the magazine has a three-month lead-time for each issue's content. We hold the right not to publish unsuitable photos (either online or in print), according to our editorial discretion.
Guidelines for photos appearing in print:
- Be sure the photo is a continuous tone photograph, so it can be easily scanned at the proper resolution. The images should be clear, with close-up focus on subjects (avoid general photos of empty rooms or distant items and activities).
- Minimum pixel-per-inch (PPI) requirement is 300 PPI.
- The photo file format should be jpeg (.jpg).
- Include a brief caption or summary of the event photographed, including names and job titles of all persons in the photo and their NCMA affiliation or reason for attendance at event.
