NCMA Names Alan J. Boykin as Chief Learning Officer

ASHBURN, VA-March 12, 2011-The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) today announced Alan J. Boykin has been appointed chief learning officer. He officially assumed the position Tuesday, March 8, 2011.

Boykin, a retired Colonel with the United States Air Force (USAF), has held senior leadership positions in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology & Logistics; Defense Business Transformation Agency (BTA); and Contract Policy Division, USAF. 

Neal Couture, NCMA's executive director, said that Boykin was selected because of his extensive experience in strategic planning, federal acquisition policy, and human capital and workforce development initiatives.

Couture said, "We are looking forward to drawing on Alan's contract management knowledge, and his experiences as a 25 year member of NCMA to help build our educational programs and offerings. We are impressed with his expertise in the area of training and development and look forward to his guidance in management of those programs."
