ASHBURN, VA-April 20, 2009—The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is proud to announce the graduates of its 2008-2009 Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP). The graduation ceremony took place on April 8, 2009, during NCMA's World Congress in Long Beach, California. This was the third class to graduate from the year-long program. Collectively, 95 people have graduated from this program. NCMA Executive Director Neal Couture stated, "NCMA applauds the CMLDP graduates for successfully completing this intensive year-long educational program. CMLDP alumnae carry a unique, meaningful credential that will open doors to new challenges and professional opportunities. We wish them continued success throughout their professional career." This highly regarded program was created because the contract management workforce is retiring faster than the next generation can replace them. This program is designed to help develop the next generation of contract management leaders through an intensive year-long educational experience. Program participants receive 180 hours of top quality training in fundamental leadership, soft skills, and contract management. This program is relevant to all contract management professionals, regardless of their employer, location, or industry. Upon completion of the program, graduates are expected to honor and uphold the contract management code of ethics. In addition, they are required to serve two additional years with NCMA and actively participate in their local NCMA chapters. The 2008–2009 CMLDP graduates are: Name *Honor Graduate **Distinguished Graduate For more information on the CMLDP, please visit www.ncmahq.org/education/cmldp/.
