NCMA and ICAF Present Excellence in Research and Writing Award to Captain Robert Bestercy, U.S. Navy

ASHBURN, Va. – June 11, 2008 – The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) today announced Captain Robert Bestercy, U.S. Navy as the winner of the Excellence in Research and Writing Award. The award was presented today during the annual Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) Awards and Recognitions Ceremony by Michael Fischetti, JD, NCMA Board of Directors, CPCM, Fellow and ICAF graduate.  

Ron Smith, NCMA President said, “NCMA is proud to recognize Captain Bestercy for his exemplary research paper and outstanding performance at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.” 

In recognition of his achievements, Captain Bestercy will receive a plaque, a paid one-year NCMA membership, inclusion in Contract Management magazine and publication of his research paper, “The Hybrid Supply Chain Model: Department of Defense and Performance Based Logistics.”  

Capatin Bestercy has over 20 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management. He holds a Master of Science in Financial Management from the Naval Post Graduate School.
