NCMA and BAE Systems Sign Memorandum of Understanding at World Congress 2008  

ASHBURN, Va. and CINCINNATI – April 14, 2008 – The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) today announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BAE Systems on April 13 at NCMA’s World Congress 2008, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  

Through this cooperative agreement, BAE Systems employees will have enhanced opportunities to participate in continuing professional education, certification, and research programs in contract management and related acquisition topics available through NCMA. 

Neal Couture, NCMA Executive Director, said “NCMA is flattered with the opportunity to partner with BAE Systems.  We are excited to offer new benefits to members of the BAE Systems contracting workforce. One of the new ideas which we are exploring with BAE is to create their own virtual Community of Practice (CoP) for NCMA members specific to their company.” 

BAE Systems and NCMA, are both respected for their reputation in the contract management arena and are pleased to pave the way for this new approach to professional development in the field.  This partnership demonstrates the commitment that both groups continue to make while giving back to the employees who have chosen to become contract management professionals.
