NCMA Appoints Michael Fischetti as Executive Director

ASHBURN, Virginia, July 2, 2012–The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) today announced that Michael Fischetti, J.D., CPCM, Fellow, has been appointed Executive Director. He will officially assume the position with NCMA on July 9, 2012.
Fischetti has held a number of senior leadership positions, including most recently Director, Acquisition Management and Support with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs)/TRICARE Management Activity; and Director, Office of Procurement and Assistance Policy with the Department of Energy.
The Executive Director Search Committee was chaired by then–NCMA President-Elect and current NCMA President Elliott Branch, Fellow. Charlie Chadwick, Fellow, NCMA Past President said, “Fischetti was selected because of his extensive record as a leader in the acquisition community, his extensive service to NCMA and familiarity with the association, and his vision for both the association and the profession.”
Chadwick said, “After a thorough search we are fortunate to welcome Mike Fischetti as the new Executive Director. His experience as a five-year member of the NCMA Board of Directors and his distinguished career with the U.S. government will help NCMA continue to fulfill its mission to advance the contract management profession. We will all work closely to ensure a smooth and successful transition.”
