NCMA Announces Winners of the Albert Berger Outstanding Chapter Leadership Award

ASHBURN, Va.—September 10, 2008—The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) recognizes the recipients of the Albert Berger Outstanding Chapter Leadership Award.

NCMA Past National President Ron Smith, CPCM, Fellow, has announced the association’s newest recipients of the Albert Berger Outstanding Chapter Leadership Award. Cathy Broussard, Fellow, of the Norfolk Area Chapter; Paula MacLeod, of the Middle Georgia Chapter; and the late Bob Fryling, Fellow, of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter, are the 2008 award recipients. NCMA will honor these individuals at the upcoming Leadership Mid-Year Meeting.

NCMA President Steve Ayers said, “I would like to extend my personal gratitude to Cathy, Bob, and Paula for their endless enthusiasm and loyalty to the association. These visionaries are a positive force in the association to motivate others to reach their NCMA goals.”

The Albert Berger Outstanding Chapter Leadership Award is the highest honor NCMA bestows for volunteer leadership activities. Established in 1998, this annual award gives national recognition to volunteers who demonstrate superior chapter leadership. The award is named in honor of former NCMA National President Albert Berger. The late Mr. Berger set a superb example for volunteer leaders through personal commitment and mentoring of other potential leaders throughout his more than 39 years as a member of NCMA.
