President Signs Law Increasing Funding for the OPM Inspector General
On February 12, 2014, President Barack Obama signed the “OPM Inspector General Act” into law (Pub. L. 113-80). The law authorizes additional funding for the inspector general of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to conduct audits, investigations, and oversight of the $2 billion OPM revolving fund and activities financed by this fund. Such activities include federal background investigations.
