DOS Amends DOSAR to Conform to FAR Changes

On December 16, 2013, the Department of State (DOS) issued a final rule adopting changes proposed to the DOS Acquisition Regulation (DOSAR) to conform to Federal Acquisition Regulation changes. Additionally, the final rule adds a new DOSAR clause, DOSAR 652.245-71, pertaining to the management and reporting of certain categories of government-furnished and contractor-acquired property. The new clause requests quarterly reports of DOS capitalized property that are either furnished by the government or acquired by a contractor in order to provide DOS with current data needed to sufficiently support DOS financial statements. This final rule became effective January 15, 2014. (78 Fed. Reg. 76074, 12/16/2013.)
