House Introduces Bill to Repeal Wage Requirements for Federally Funded Highway and Public Transportation Construction Projects

On February 14, 2013, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), along with several cosponsors, introduced the “Highway Trust Fund Reform Act” (H.R. 711). This bill would eliminate Davis-Bacon wage requirements from federally funded highway construction projects. The bill was referred to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and Committee on Education and the Workforce.
