DoD’s Robyn to Head GSA’s Public Buildings Service
September 4, 2012
Dorothy Robyn, deputy undersecretary of Defense for installations and environment, will be the new Public Buildings Service commissioner at the General Services Administration.
Former PBS Commissioner Robert Peck was fired in April after a GSA inspector general’s report revealed $823,000 was spent on a 2010 Las Vegas conference. Peck was criticized for issuing a weakly worded letter of reprimand to then-regional PBS commissioner Jeff Neely, who organized the conference. Peck also attended a $2,000 party in his loft suite during the conference. He later said he was not aware GSA was charged additional money for the party and reimbursed the agency for its cost.
Acting GSA administrator Dan Tangherlini announced Robyn’s appointment in a Sept. 4 email to staff.
