Soldier Sentenced in Kickback Case
March 21, 2012
A retired U.S. Army sergeant on Tuesday became the latest soldier to be sentenced in a multi-million-dollar defense-contracting scandal at a base in Kuwait.
A federal judge in Birmingham, Ala., sentenced Terry Hall of Snellville, Ga., to 39 months in prison. Sgt. Hall, 46 years old, joins at least four Army majors, a lieutenant colonel and several noncommissioned officers who since 2006 have pleaded guilty to soliciting millions of dollars in bribes and kickbacks from defense contractors.
