DISA Seeks Unity from Services in Enterprise IT

A 21st-century information network for the Defense Department is among the top priorities for 2012 at the Defense Information Systems Agency.

DISA has been making the case that the enterprise IT the agency provides are cost-effective and more secure. Continuing to develop and provide secure enterprise IT is the No. 1 focus for the agency, DISA officials said a recent conference.

Tony Montemarano, the director of strategic planning and information at DISA, is one of the agency leaders heading the effort to get the network running as it should.

He joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss how DISA will do it. Montemarano explained what it will take to get the Pentagon's various IT decision makers to work better together and to actually adopt DISA's solutions.
