NCMA's new and improved chapter leader training series continues this summer! With this new format, chapter leader training will now occur three times annually, providing increased development opportunities to NCMA's chapter leaders.

This event is designed to introduce NCMA's chapter volunteers (experienced, new, and potential) to running their chapters as part of a large, national organization. Learn how to build and manage a successful chapter with case studies and examples, in addition to the opportunity to network with fellow chapter leaders, national leaders, and association experts. Annual World Congress Community Service Project

SATURDAY, JULY 26 • 3:00PM–5:30PM

NCMA is partnering with Clean the World and the Capital Area Food Bank to assemble 1,500 hygiene kits for veterans in need in the DC metro area. Attend this event to help those in need while networking with fellow NCMA members and event attendees.

WC14 - Networking 2

Have you ever wondered what happens to all of the unused hygiene products you leave behind after your hotel stay? Believe it or not, they are actually discarded! Clean the World was established in 2009 by Shawn Seipler and Paul Till to address this problem. The company collects and recycles the products discarded by the hospitality industry every day, and then works to distribute these items to impoverished people, with a goal of preventing the millions of deaths caused by hygiene-related illnesses every day.

In addition to assembling the hygiene kits, NCMA is also encouraging attendees to bring canned goods for donation to the Capital Area Food Bank. As you may know, summer is one of the most challenging times for food banks across the nation and NCMA would like to help! When you are packing up to attend World Congress or Summer Chapter Leader Summit, please bring along canned food items to donate at the registration desk. NCMA will be raffling a complimentary registration to World Congress 2015 as a thank you for these donations. Attendees will receive one ticket for their first item donated and for every three additional items donated, attendees receive an additional ticket for the drawing. Donate what the Capital Area Food Bank needs most!

This event is open to all NCMA members and World Congress attendees.

Annual World Congress Awards Gala

MONDAY, JULY 28 • 6:30PM–10:30PM

You won’t want to miss this night of live entertainment, award presentations, and dancing, along with heavy hor d’oeuvres, dinner, and dessert!

Be there to watch as the Capitol Steps take the stage for what’s sure to be a lively production, followed by the presentation of the Alvis D. Keen Honorary Life Member Award and the Charles A. Dana Distinguished Service Award to very deserving NCMA members. Then spend some time catching up with friends or making new ones, and be sure to hit the dance floor!

Cocktail attire is suggested. This event sells out annually as spots are limited—be sure to purchase your tickets early!

The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Since they began in 1981, the Capitol Steps have recorded over 30 albums, including their latest, Fiscal Shades of Gray. They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard 4 times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials.
